I have so many fond memories of Mike that it would take me a long time to write them all down. I'll always remember him as being exceptionally funny and kind and the most enjoyable "boss" to have ever worked with. It has been almost 40 years since I worked as Mike's assistant at Scudder and my memories of him are still fresh in my mind. He started every workday with a big grin and his endless sense of humor. It wasn't like going to work because Mike made my job so entertaining. He had a talent for doing imitations and he made me laugh by mimicking Richard Nixon, James Mason & "Count Cagliostro." He filled our office with laughter more times than you can imagine. It was truly a joy to have worked with Mike and to become a longtime friend along the way.
It's hard to realize that he is no longer with us. I not only admired Mike for his humor and numerous talents, but for his dedication to his loving family. He was a very special person and I will definitely miss his bright spirit and the warm friendship that we have had over the decades. I feel fortunate that I have such wonderful and lasting memories of him.
My husband and I send our heartfelt condolences to Ginny and the entire family.
